Taisosai



 
Taisosai is a local traditional festival that celebrates the completion on May 4, 1859, of the Inaoi River’s water supply for the Sanbongi Plateau (presently Towada City). For over 100 years, generations have paused to embrace and remember their history and the vision of the city's founders. Festival participants can enjoy a walking tour along the Ianoi River* (the Taiso Walk), drum performances, singing, music, and foods during the three-day event. *The Inaoi River is one of canals of “the Sosui Hyakusen” from Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
