Oirase Stream |

The Oirase Stream flows out of Lake Towada at Nenokuchi, at times a torrent that cleans the moss-covered rocks, at times eddying into deep pools. Enlarged by waterfalls tumbling over cliffs to its left and right, the Oirase calms as it moves through the wide riverbed at Towadako Onsenkyo (Yakeyama). A lush natural forest surrounds the stream along its roughly 14 km course, and its ever-changing flow of water provides dynamic scenery.
