Towada Visitor Center



 
This center provides information on national parks. The building is located in the plaza near the bus terminal and the Towada Lake excursion boat dock in central Yasumiya. The convenient facility provides information about Towada’s spectacular natural environment, including Lake Towada, Oirase Stream, and the Hakkoda Mountains through panel photographs and scale models. “The Four Seasons of Lake Towada,” a multi-slide exhibit, is shown on a high-definition television and gives a visual introduction to the flora and fauna throughout the year, other changes in nature, and relationship between people and nature. Additionally, guide map and pamphlets are available, and the picture book and other books may be freely used. Visitors may also try making crafts with natural materials.
